Europe Direct Region of Murcia gave a talk in the Market Sombra section of the Murcia European Fiction Film Festival. Christian Solanas, from the Communication and Promotion department of the MEDIA Office Spain, was also present.

As part of the Sombra Festival in Murcia, the Market Sombra professional space hosted a talk organized by the MEDIA Office Spain, focusing on the opportunities offered by the Creative Europe MEDIA program to the audiovisual sector.

For 45 minutes, Christian Solanas, Head of Communication and Promotion at the Office, explained the work carried out by this cultural foundation: informing, guiding, and advising audiovisual professionals on the various funding and support programs promoted by the European Commission. The Creative Europe MEDIA program was created precisely to strengthen the European audiovisual industry, fostering the development, distribution, and internationalization of projects.

The session also included the participation of Juan Antonio Iborra Lozano, the European Projects Officer at the European Union Relations Service of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia. Iborra Lozano outlined the management, coordination, and monitoring work carried out at the regional level to facilitate access to European initiatives and programs, emphasizing the importance of connecting local talent with the opportunities offered by the European Union.

The talk highlighted the need to professionalize the sector, gain a deeper understanding of available funding avenues, and embrace international cooperation as a driver of growth for the audiovisual industry in Murcia and Spain. This key meeting within Market Sombra reaffirms the festival's commitment to connecting filmmaking with professional development opportunities.
