Working at European instituions

The EU institutions employ over 45 000 public officers. The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) organises 'open competitions' for all EU Member States to select personnel for permanent and non permanent positions. There is not nationality quota or age restriction.

There are currently around 4 000 Spaniards working for the European institutions. 2 300 work for the European Commission.

The European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, the Commission, the Court of Justice etc. offer the opportunity of working in a multicultural and multilingual environment, where language learning is particularly relevant for developing a career. In addition, working in the institutions leads to putting into practice high analytical, organisational and communication skills in a wide range of fields.
