REFLECTING ON EUROPE INITIATIVE
Dialogues with citizens
With the "Reflecting on Europe" Initiative, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) aims to provide a space for citizens to present their concerns, reflections and ideas about the future of Europe in the form of debates organized throughout the EU. The aim is to respond to the demand of the European Commission to facilitate, proposals and concrete contributions in the regions of the EU that contribute, from the base, to the political debates that are taking place on the future of Europe.
The Community has promoted the organization of different Citizen Dialogues in this framework in recent years, such as the one held on November 14, 2016 in Murcia on the Cohesion Policy of the European Union, with the participation of the Commissioner for Regional Policy , Corina Cretu, the "Citizen Dialogue on Climate and Energy" held on June 27, 2017 or the Dialogue framed in the 30 years of the ERASMUS program that was held in November 2017.
This year the General Directorate of the European Union, External Action and Cooperation, as well as the different departments of the Autonomous Community, will promote the organization of new Dialogues open to all those entities, economic agents and citizens interested in the future of Europe in this area, among others, the signatories.
