Projects involving AI, cybersecurity, automation, data analytics, logistics, and digital twins will be eligible for funding through €900,000 approved by the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia.

The Governing Council has agreed to allocate €900,000 to the ‘ICT Voucher’ (*Cheque TIC*) scheme, which aims to encourage SMEs to invest in innovation and digitalization.

Specifically, the ‘ICT Voucher’ program allows regional SMEs to fund projects involving artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, industrial automation, production process software (MES systems), data analytics, logistics management, and digital twins, among others.

The grants, administered by the Development Institute (INFO), can cover up to 70 percent of eligible costs, with the potential to reach 85 percent for projects linked to RIS4 strategic sectors.

In the previous call for applications, grants were awarded to 96 SMEs, driving technology projects and investments worth €1.2 million. Furthermore, these nearly 100 projects helped create approximately 100 jobs and sustain nearly 2,500 existing ones.

The call for applications—co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)—received 221 requests and cements the ‘ICT Voucher’ as one of the regional government’s key tools for accelerating the digital transformation of the region's business sector.
