The Region of Murcia launches a portal that centralizes all information on European funds in the Region of Murcia
The Regional Government of Murcia, through its Ministry of Economy, Finance, Spokesperson, European Funds, and Digital Transformation, has launched a new website with comprehensive information on the management of European funds in the Region of Murcia. This digital tool improves access to information, strengthens transparency, and facilitates the dissemination of European funding opportunities for citizens, businesses, organizations, and public administrations.
The new website (fondoseuropeos.carm.es), managed by the Directorate General for Budgets and European Funds, features a dedicated section for calls for proposals; another section with detailed information on each European fund; a news section; and a general information area. Among its key features is a personalized search engine that allows users to search for grants, subsidies, and tenders using various criteria, such as fund type, beneficiary profile, or sector of activity, streamlining and improving access to different European funding opportunities.
The Director General of Budgets and European Funds, Ana Losantos, highlighted that, “with this portal, we are facilitating access to all information on European funds from a single platform, making it easier for citizens, businesses, and public administrations to find grants, calls for proposals, and tenders.”
The section dedicated to funds offers comprehensive information on the ERDF, the European Social Fund (ESF), the Recovery and Resilience Facility – Next Generation EU, and other European instruments, including the EMFAF, EAFRD, EAGF, and directly managed programs.
The sections corresponding to the ERDF and the European Social Fund include all information related to their respective 2021-2027 regional programs, framed within the current multiannual financial framework, as well as documentation for previous programming periods.
Losantos emphasized that “we continue to advance in the modernization of the regional administration with digital tools that improve transparency, bring public services closer to citizens, and help us make the most of the opportunities offered by European funds for the development of the Region of Murcia.”
The website's general information section provides links to the main European bodies related to the management of EU funds and the European Union, as well as other content of interest to potential beneficiaries.
The portal also includes complementary services such as newsletter subscriptions and the option to schedule a telephone appointment for personalized advice, thus strengthening direct support and assistance to citizens, businesses, and organizations.
Comprehensive Portal Modernization Project
The new website is part of the comprehensive portal modernization project promoted by the Directorate General for Digital Transformation, under the Ministry of Finance. This initiative involves migrating the regional government's corporate portals to more modern content management systems (CMS), specifically Liferay 7.4, with the aim of improving accessibility, user experience, and the delivery of digital services.
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the 'Smarter Europe' program and the specific objective focused on leveraging the benefits of digitalization for citizens, businesses, research organizations, and public administrations.
