Murcia Región Europea Awards ceremony for the 24th My Town, Europe drawing competition

More than 2,500 students from 25 schools in the Region of Murcia participated in the "My Town, Europe" drawing contest, which aims to bring the European Union closer to young people. Sixteen drawings were awarded prizes in different categories, and the winning works will illustrate a 2026 calendar.

The event was attended by the Regional Minister of the Presidency, Spokesperson, Foreign Action, and Emergencies, Marcos Ortuño, who endorsed this initiative aimed at bringing Europe closer to young people. The event was presented by the Director General for the European Union, Adrián Zittelli Ferrari. During his speech, he explained that "the objective of this contest is to foster knowledge among preschool and primary school students about Europe, its institutions, and the diversity of its territories, as well as its influence on daily life. It also aims to highlight the perspective that young people have on the European Union."
